Do you want to be inspired by how we can make public food procurement even greener? Then sign up for the StratKIT Final Conference on green public procurement and catering services taking place on 13/10 from 9:30 to 12:30 (CEST) (+ some time for networking). The conference is held online.
Please find the detailed agenda and register here.
The Interreg Baltic Sea project StratKIT, which stands for Innovative Strategies for Public Catering: Sustainability Toolkit across the Baltic Sea Region (BSR), has over the past three years been exploring how to boost and promote sustainability in public procurement and catering services. Project partners and associated organisations from six BSR countries have been exchanging ideas and approaches, as well as conducting and evaluating piloting actions to spread good solutions across European borders. The Final Conference ends our project by presenting to the public what we have learned.
Our keynote speaker, Alexandra Nikolakopoulou, Head of the Farm to Fork Strategy in the European Commission (DG Sante), opens the conference by introducing green procurement in relation to the EU’s Farm to Fork Strategy.
The event also launches our Sustainable Public Meal Toolkit in seven different languages. Over 50 tools provide both inspiration and detailed information on various aspects of sustainability transformations categorised into several thematic areas, easy to access and download. Other project activities, including piloting actions will also be presented.
The conference initiates a panel debate with a high level of panelists representing policy, procurement, research as well as industry where participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and be part of the discussions.
Whether you represent a public authority, its procurement body or its catering services, or you are a sustainability-oriented citizen, the StratKIT Final Conference will present you with sustainability trends in the Baltic Sea Region (BSR) and numerous tools introducing innovative measures towards more sustainable public procurement and catering services.
The conference is held in English, but our conference interpreters will translate into Russian and Polish.
The StratKIT-project (Interreg BSR, 2019-2021, www.stratkit.eu @StratKIT) joins together 13 partners and 10 associated organisations across the BSR. This online event summarises the project’s results, launches the Sustainable Public Meal Toolkit and looks into the future aspects of a sustainable public meal.
We look forward to seeing you!
